EXPLORE LIFE at Durham
A Head Start on High School
Advanced content and high school credit courses give qualifying students room to stretch before ninth grade. Talk with Durham about the right level of challenge and available course placement.
Find Your Stage
Band, chorus, orchestra, and musical theater give students ways to develop talents with classmates. The theater club produces a full-scale show and requires auditions, fees, and rehearsal commitments. Ask about course placement and openings before planning around a particular ensemble.
bring ideas to life
Project Lead The Way and broadcast experiences connect classroom learning with creative work. Students can explore how ideas become designs while discovering interests they may want to pursue.
a place to shine
Student ambassadors help newcomers learn their way around. Twice a year, Breakfast of Champions brings teacher-selected students and their families together, with personal letters celebrating the qualities that make each student stand out.
