Harrison and Kell Students Win Emmy Awards at 2025 Southeast Student Production Awards

March 28, 2025—Cobb County is home to Emmy Award-winning students. Harrison High School and Kell High School students recently captured the top honors at the 2025 Southeast Student Production Awards.
The prestigious event, held on the SCAD University campus, recognized outstanding student video productions from across the Southeast region. Competing against students from North and South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama, these talented young Cobb County filmmakers showcased their creativity and hard work, earning well-deserved recognition.
At the awards ceremony, Kell broadcast video students Anna Duke and Kamdon Molineaux took home an Emmy for their impressive Celsius commercial. This marks a major milestone for Kell High School, as it is their first year competing in the Southeast Student Production Awards, and they have already secured a notable honor.
The Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) organizes the awards, honoring excellence in student video production across various categories. The region’s best young talent are recognized in areas such as commercials, documentaries, and multimedia journalism.

In addition to Kell High School’s triumph, Harrison High School’s Madeleine Walter was awarded for her work as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) with her video "Crafting for a Cause." Harrison’s recognition highlights the district’s strong commitment to nurturing student creativity and providing a platform for them to excel in digital media.
