Attention Parents: Third Choice Window Planned for Spring
Recognizing that in Cobb, parents value choice, Cobb Schools Superintendent Chris Ragsdale revealed in the November Board meeting that families would have an additional option to choose between face-to-face learning and full remote in mid-Spring.
Cobb school leaders decided to add the third-choice window because of the ever-changing nature of COVID-19 and not knowing how COVID-19 will impact students and families throughout the winter. The additional opportunity will provide parents as much flexibility as possible.
Details, including specific dates and instructions, on how to access the third-choice window will be provided by mid-winter.
Families currently have until November 29 to select the option that best works for their family at the start of the second semester, which begins on January 6, 2021. The option selected in November will apply until the middle of the second semester.
As we continue to be committed to offering you choice, Cobb's commitment to health and safety will continue as well. You can learn more about Cobb Schools' enhanced health and safety protocols, which are keeping Cobbs students as healthy and safe as possible, by clicking here.
We recognize that this school year has already been full of challenges. We know we cannot address every way COVID-19 has impacted your lives, but we can continue to give families safe and healthy face-to-face and remote classroom options for as long as public health conditions in Cobb County allow.
