In what became a pilot program between the City of Powder Springs and McEachern High School, four students earned internship positions with Powder Springs and learned how to apply what they were learning in the classroom.

Their experience was recently documented in the January/February issue of Cobb In Focus magazine.

One student's interest in pursuing an internship eventually led to three more. McEachern teacher Beth Amacher helped get Powder Springs involved and placed the students according to their interests. It became a very positive experience for the students, Powder Springs, and several local businesses.
