Former and Alumni Student Records and Transcripts

The Records Management office maintains the student records including transcripts, of students who have graduated or withdrawn from the Cobb County School District schools. Students must be 18 years of age or older to obtain records; Parents/Guardians may obtain or authorize the release of records for students under the age of 18.  

Note: Marietta City Schools is not part of the Cobb County School District.

All requests for records/transcripts need to be entered into our online ScribOrder portal.

FAQ’s

  • Processing a transcript/record request may take up to (3) business days after receipt of the request depending on request. See District Administrative Rule JR-R for additional details and regulations about student records.
  • All official records/transcripts are mailed regular mail unless they are being sent to a college/university that is setup to receive e-transcripts in our system then the college will receive them electronically. 
  • We do not email any records/transcripts to individual email addresses.
  • If you would like to pick up your records/transcripts instead of them being mailed regular USPS mail, please indicate that in the Special Instructions.

A student’s educational records are confidential and may only be disclosed as allowed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy act of 1974 (FERPA) or with written permission of the student’s parent or legal guardian, or of the student (if over 18 years old). Student records are kept in accordance with the Georgia Records Act.
