School Counseling - Advocacy. Collaboration. Leadership.

Cobb County School District continues to make bullying prevention a priority with the two districtwide programs that are in place for every CCSD school. For elementary school students, “Stop, Walk, and Talk” is the program that is used to help students follow a series of steps to handle hurtful words/actions by another student. For our middle and high school students, “Expect Respect” is the program that works to promote a respectful school community and teaches students how to handle any of type of disrespect that occurs by another student.

The following video features staff and students from three CCSD schools: McCleskey Middle School, Shallowford Falls Elementary School, and Smyrna Elementary School. The video highlights the benefits of Cobb’s comprehensive bullying prevention programs, "Stop, Walk, and Talk" and "Expect Respect" and how these programs give students the tools they need to support a safe and inclusive learning environment.
